I am a Professor at the Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia.

Research Interests

My research focuses on econometrics, empirical IO, and international trade. My methodological work develops tools for estimation and inference in dynamic discrete choice models, finite mixture models, and regime switching models. My applied work examines topics including trade policy, productivity, COVID-19 policy impacts, and the causes of historical famines.
